Special Edition Ramon Allones Debuts in Beirut
A Cuban Ramon Allones cigar made especially for Lebanon has hit the shelves of La Casa del Habano shops in Beirut's International airport.
The cigar is part of the 2009 Habanos regional-edition campaign, and was contracted by Phoenicia Trading, the exclusive Habanos S.A. distributor for the Middle East, parts of Europe, and most of continental Africa, providing cigars for more than 40 countries.
This is the second year that Phoenicia Trading has opted to use the Ramon Allones brand as part of its regional- edition program and company president Mohammed Zeidan explains why: "Ramon Allones is considered a local brand in Lebanon and it is characterized by an intense and complex taste with tobacco chosen from the Cuchilla de Barbacoa, San Luis plantation in Pinar del Rio. This suits the Lebanese taste, which leans towards full-bodied cigars."
